I have returned
Hey followers and other various readers.
Since I last posted I have been in search of a way into missionary work. First was into Turkey. That fell through in the first interview(no prior experience in the field)trip was at least a year commitment.
Next, was Kenya, Africa. A friend of mine was going, and I showed interest, and talked with the guy he was going with.I was accepted on to the team... but the trip never got organized fully( the guy felt he was called to South America instead).in the time before the trip fell through I got a passport, after a couple months the trip fell through.
Then about a month ago, i saw my friend Lane was going to Brazil, so I jokingly asked him " hey can I go?". and was going to leave at that, but people persisting asking me "so Tommy, have you talked to Mark about going to Brazil?" I finally got his contact info, and called him.He told me he would pray about putting me on the team. About when I had forgot about talking to him, i got a call saying "hey Tommy, I have an application for you to fill out for the trip".
Since being accepted onto the team, I found out about an "extra" in the trip( a Preacher/Teacher position you could apply for)that only I was eligible to apply for, due to age. I kind of considered it, but decided " I'm no communicator" and was going to let it slide.....a couple days later Mark called me, informing me of this position possibility, and saying I really think you would enjoy it. So I fill out the application, fax it in, and have now been accepted.
So now I am not only going out of the country, but completely out of my element. I suppose now is the time to take up the rebeloutonary battle cry. Do Hard Things!
I hope I have composed this post in a semi-coherent fashion. Thank you for your time and God bless.

First off I would like to say that I'm sorry about not keeping you up to date on what I've been up to, I've been lazy. But here is an update.
As of may 18th I started a new job. Working for Huffman heating and air, and I've been busy since. I Think people in west Texas like their a/c in the summer for some reason. And aside from sweating all day and having to insulate duct I love my job.
Also mid June I bought an 86'Ford broncho and i have been working on getting it road worthy(so aside from being an hvac technician I will also be a mechanic Yeah!!!!)
Third item on the list is my pet I found while out hunting. A fox,Herod by name.the name comes from the book of Luke when Jesus calls Herod a fox as it turns out.
Back on the job front. The other day we had a attic unit we were changing out, And I had been up in the attic for probably two hours or so(probably running about 110-120* that day),and had to go out to the truck to get something (outside temp.about 90*) and I was shivering uncontrollably out in the hot humid sunshine. So in mutual agreement with my co-workers(Tommy go take a break now) I went about cooling off.(I knew I needed to stop Really)
Moral of the story it is hot in west Texas. (and don't overheat for work)

Tired of hearing about Earth day
Yes April 22nd has come around, most people know it as Earth day. Some people know that it is the day of the Oklahoma land run. And I now tell you the most important matter of this day.......It is my birthday. Yes, I turn 19 today, and now you know.
The reason I am tired of hearing about Earthday is, I am always aware that it is coming up/that it is earthday and that there envirowackos mourning trees.
I hope you enjoyed my semi pointless rant. Thank you for your time.

It is finished
Mwuaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha I am the cast master................wait no that was taken by Ben.....I am the copycaster.
I have built a forge, because my brother Ben made one a while back and I got to mess with forge. It was simple enough to set up, I just hadn't got around to doing so until a couple weeks ago when i started and I got my main part (a clay pot ) yesterday.
I set up my forge, melted down some aluminum cans, and cast my Lee ingot as seen in pictures 2 and 3. Next I need to make some molds and cast some trinkets.

Cool a job found me
Yesterday while in transit during my job, my friend Jake called. He was wondering if I was still looking for a job.(I was)A rancher came into the feed store he works at and asked him if he knew someone looking for a job. He said "yeah I've got a buddy looking for a job"(or some such)well the guy called me today and was wondering if I was interested(yep) and when I could start.(uuhh, I'm free all day tomorrow) okay i will be working goats tomorrow.
This after I had paused in my job search for a while. A job came looking for me.
This was good because my brother in law Stephen I work for may soon be switching jobs from truck driver to pilot car driver, this makes me as trailer rat/loader/unloader obsolete.
When I had heard that Stephen would be switching jobs I asked God to provide me a job, and this looks like the answer.

Not Quite A Rabbit
I will start out saying I'm at my parents up in Arkansas.
A few minutes ago I went wandering the field in search of rabbits to pop with my .22 pistol.
Well I didn't see any rabbits so i started going back to the house, and I scared a rat up.I raised up and fired right before he ran down a hole.Surprising to me I got him.Well, since I got him I decided I would skin him out.(I've skinned out a fox and a coon before this so I figured i would get some practice.Besides no use wasting a perfectly good rat pelt.) Well the skinning process was uneventful, a little tricky because the shot broke him and his back legs came off. But I think it's the best job of skinning I've done. But I did leave him his tail. Now his pelt is in my mom's freezer.(I'm sure she appreciates it)
Now does anybody know what I can make with a rat pelt? A computer mouse cover maybe.
