The library I don't have

I have a list of books I would like to get,or at least read. But they cost money, and I'm attached to my money and have other priorities.Plus my list of wanted books just keeps getting longer.I am tempted to join the conservative book club to get them, it may be worth it. Here is the list so far.

America Alone. By Mark Steyn

If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans. By Ann Coulter

Liberal Fascism. By Jonah Goldberg

The Case Against Barack Obama. By David Freddoso

The Audacity Of Deceit. By Brad O'leary

The Obama Nation. By Jerome Corsi

Real Change. By Newt Gingrich

The Global War On Your Guns: Inside The UN Plan To Destroy The Bill Of Rights. By Wayne LaPierre

That is the list of ones that I haven't read yet. There are ones I've read that I want to buy.

Colorado Trip

Earlier this month I was one of a select thirteen members of the house church I go to, to go backpacking in the mountains of Colorado for a week. I was representing the Jones' as a photographer, and I did my job there, but the camera memory stick messed up and my best pictures are gone. There were two I got without the memory stick in they were first day, first hour.(I will post them later)

The crowning achievement of the trip (according to me) was topping Conejos Peak.It may have only been a day hike, but it was probably the best day.12 of 13 members reached the peak(one of us stayed behind at camp for reasons of their own). Some of my best pictures were from Conejos Peak.It may turn out good for me the pictures are gone or I might be staring at them constantly.I learned this when I Googled Conejos Peak and just stared at where our camp was, and the route to Conejos Peak.

I will try to post more on this later but right now the best I have to say is "I'm ready to go back."

Fun morning!!

To set the stage, the other night mom got back from DFW. I tell her a package arrived for her,and it sounds like broken glass is in it. She opens package , and there is a broken cookie jar in it. She asks me what I think of repairing it ,I don't respond, then I go to bed.

The next morning I get up ,see the pieces on the counter top and figure it might be possible to piece together. So I get the superglue out, take the lid off, and find pieces that go together. Then I try applying glue , but the applying head is jammed. So I get a toothpick stick it down the head to clear it.When I try to pull the toothpick out it doesn't want to move.So I stick the end of the toothpick in my mouth, pull on the tube, The toothpick comes out along with a spray of superglue. I now have superglue on my teeth, a toothpick stuck to my lip,and the tube of superglue stuck to my fingers. Around this time mom tells me forget trying to rebuilding cookie jar.

Now I get the tube off my fingers and the toothpick off my lip, and set to cleaning the superglue off my teeth.I grab a tooth scraper from by the kitchen sink, and start scraping the glue off. In the process somehow I chipped my tooth.when I get done mom sees the tooth scraper I used and informs me that it was used for cleaning out the garbage disposal on the sink.(Boy I'm glad I know that now)After that morning the rest of the day went well enough.

A calling?

Thrice in the past two weeks has christian film making been set before me.The first time was a comment on one of my posts. The second time was Becky
mentioning her wanting to try for a part in The Concho Pearl, which is being made in San Angelo,TX.
Third there was a brief mentioning of christian film making in Do Hard Things. It was brief but it stuck with me.

Now I may head to the area, join a local church, and join the making of The Concho Pearl. I have to be local, and be a with a local church to join the effort in making TCP(both things I planned on doing before ever hearing of this project).
I figure if I am accepted I would get a part as an extra and/or work as a carpenter for them(or carpenter underling if they need any).

It seems God has opened a door for me to get to West Texas and start in christian film making or carpentry as the case may be.

It is strange because two weeks ago I hadn't considered film making type for something I would do .But it seems God is pointing me in that direction. So I guess I should be in the area before the 19th if I am to try for this.

Ahhh technology.

Yesterday and today I have tried commenting on the Zesch blog. Once I would finally get the comment page to pull up, I would type out my comment, hit publish comment.then the page would freeze up, And then switch to the error on page page. After trying this a couple times I gave up and checked my comments, and tried replying to one by Becky. This time on my blog it tried loading before telling me it wouldn't.I know it sounds like a bad excuse but, the computer ate my comments.

Rant on jobs

On the job hunting front, so far I have gone to Krein knives,a former log furniture place, and a-d distributing.None of whitch needed help, so next I have the Wal Mart distribution center, an American Eagle baggage flinger, and maybe a job at a feed store or something.
Whatever job I find , I want to be doing hard labor ,to keep busy from the start of the day to the end of the day.If I don't find anything that does this here in Arkansas , I will try west Texas ,and find a way down there.
In Texas I would like to get a job as a wind farm maintenance technician. It looks like a fun job.Climbing ladders, being on top of the world, getting bit by rattlesnakes that were in it when it got built.

On a side note, when working I figger that unless if I am working with Stephen,I will go by Stephen instead of Tommy.I do this because my paychecks will be to wrote out to Stephen C., and because i,ve never gone by my first name, save for when dealing with the government.

My day

Today we bug bombed the house. Mom, Dad, and the twins.took one car and went somewhere.Ben and I went job hunting/garage sailing/pawn shopping.
We went through Siloam Springs, and stopped at a pawn shop where Ben looked at violins.

Then we followed some garage sale signs and went by some sorry looking garage sales.Well we wound up in Oklahoma and stopped at a store so I could buy a lotto ticket I got a $1 dollar scratch off and doubled my money,so I quit while I was ahead. Not bad for just buying one because I can.

In Gentry, we stopped at a log furniture place to see if they needed some strong backs and weak minds. They didn't, so we moved on to Gravette where we didn't find anything , so we went to Crystal lake, where we walked around for a while. After killing some time there, we headed back to the house despite there being forty minutes left on the prescribed time for bombing.

When we got back to the house, mine and Ben's GEDs had got here.So I threw my hat up in the air to celebrate graduating(Bill's idea).

Well that's all I've done today.I don't know why anyone would want to read about it though.
